    Terms of Use (EULA)

    1. Acceptance

    These Terms of Use form the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) between you and Verify Twice Tech Ltd. By creating an account or using Verify Twice, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

    2. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

    There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Verify Twice. By using the service — and in particular by using chat — you agree that you will not create, upload, send, post or share any content that is:

    • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive toward any person
    • Sexualising, exploiting or endangering a minor in any way (reported immediately to the relevant authorities)
    • Hateful, discriminatory, or degrading on the basis of any protected characteristic
    • Harassing, bullying, stalking, threatening, or intimidating
    • Violent, graphic, or promoting self-harm or suicide
    • Fraudulent, deceptive, spam, or a solicitation for illegal goods or services
    • Otherwise unlawful, or shared without the rights or consent required to share it

    Filtering. Messages and images sent through Verify Twice are automatically screened for objectionable content before they are delivered. Content identified as objectionable is blocked and is not delivered to the recipient.

    Reporting. Every message and every user can be reported from inside the app. You can also block any user at any time, which immediately and permanently ends all contact in both directions.

    Our 24-hour commitment. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld, we remove the offending content and eject the user who provided it by suspending or permanently terminating their account. Serious violations result in immediate termination without warning and without refund.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to use the service. Accounts belonging to minors are terminated on discovery.

    4. Your Responsibilities

    • Provide accurate information about yourself
    • Only upload photographs you have the right to upload, and only of yourself unless every other person shown has given you their consent
    • Treat other users with respect at all times
    • Use the service lawfully, and not misuse or reverse-engineer it
    • Keep your account credentials secure

    5. Your Content

    You retain ownership of your photos and the biometric templates derived from them. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to operate the service. Photo-derived facial data is deleted within 24 hours; account data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

    5.1 Uploading photos of other people

    A photo you upload may contain people other than yourself. By uploading it you warrant that:

    • You own the photo or otherwise have the right to upload it;
    • You have obtained permission from every identifiable person shown in it for their face to be processed as described in our Privacy Policy;
    • You are not uploading it to identify, track, profile or surveil anyone without their consent.

    You agree to indemnify Verify Twice against any claim arising from a photo you uploaded without the required rights or permissions. Uploading photos of people without their permission is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate removal of the content and termination of your account. Any person whose face appears in Verify Twice may request its removal at any time, without an account, at /delete-data.

    5.2 Digital Footprint reports and reverse face search

    Digital Footprint reports may search public web sources, including optional open-web face search via FaceCheck.ID, for faces you have marked as known. By running such a report you warrant that:

    • You own the photo or have permission to upload it and to search for this person;
    • The person is 18 years of age or older;
    • You understand that results are probabilistic and show public appearances of similar faces, not a confirmed identity;
    • You will not use the report for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any decision restricted by law.

    Reverse face search is disabled in the iOS native app while App Store review is in progress and may be limited to web/PWA users.

    6. Prohibited Uses

    You may not use Verify Twice for:

    • Identifying, tracking or profiling any person without their consent
    • Surveillance of any kind
    • Privacy violations or doxxing
    • Harassment, abuse, or any of the content prohibited in section 2
    • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or automated access

    7. Connections and Chat

    Verify Twice does not connect you to random or anonymous strangers. When a potential connection is found, you are shown information about that person and must explicitly accept the connection before any conversation can begin. Either person may decline or skip a connection, and either person may block the other at any time.

    8. Subscriptions and Payments

    Paid plans are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions. The title, duration and price of each plan are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same duration and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple ID account settings. Unused portions of a free trial, where offered, are forfeited on purchase of a subscription.

    9. Service Availability

    High availability is aimed for but not guaranteed. Features may change.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the extent permitted by law, Verify Twice is not liable for indirect damages. Liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits our obligations under section 2.

    11. Suspension and Termination

    We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, without notice and without refund, if you breach section 2 or section 6. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. You can also request deletion of your data without logging in.

    12. Accuracy of User Statements

    Verify Twice enforces the standards in section 2, but we cannot guarantee the truth of opinions or personal experiences that users choose to share with one another. Treat information received from other users as unverified, and never act on it in a way that could harm anyone.

    13. Governing Law

    UAE law applies for UAE users, GDPR for EU users, and local law for global users.
